Introduction:
The Admission Committee is responsible for managing the entire student admission process in a fair, transparent, and systematic manner. It ensures that admissions are conducted as per the rules and regulations prescribed by the University of Mumbai, government policies, and institutional guidelines. The committee plays a crucial role in selecting eligible candidates, promoting merit-based and reservation-based admissions, and guiding students towards appropriate academic programs.

• Objective

The main objectives of the Admission Committee are to select deserving students and ensure equal opportunities for all, without any discrimination. A dedicated Admission Committee is formed at the end of every academic year to oversee the admission process for the next academic session. The Committee also provides proper guidance and counselling to help students choose the right course according to their aptitude and interest.

• Functions:
• Implement Admission Process:
  Plan, organize, and oversee the entire admission procedure as per the norms and guidelines laid down by the University of Mumbai and government authorities.
• Ensure Transparency and Fairness:
  Conduct the admission process in a transparent and unbiased manner, ensuring that no discrimination occurs on the basis of caste, creed, religion, gender, or economic status. 

• Merit List Preparation:
  Prepare and display merit lists of eligible candidates based on academic performance and reservation policies.

• Counselling and Guidance:
  Guide students in selecting the appropriate courses based on their interests, previous qualifications, and career objectives. 

• Document Verification:
  Verify the authenticity of all required documents (mark sheets, certificates, identity proof, etc.) submitted by the candidates.

• Maintain Records:
  Maintain proper records of applications, admissions, fees collected, and other important data for future reference and auditing purposes. 

• Resolve Admission-Related Grievances:
  Address and resolve any issues or grievances related to the admission process in a fair and timely manner
