Introduction:
The Women Development Cell (WDC) is a mandatory and integral body of our college, dedicated to promoting gender parity, women’s empowerment, and the well-being of female students and staff. The cell provides a safe platform where students can freely express their opinions on issues that affect their personal and academic lives. The WDC actively organizes various activities, workshops, and awareness programs aimed at creating a supportive environment and sensitizing the college community about gender-related issues. As per University norms, the college has conducted important events such as a Three-Day “Self Defense Workshop for Women & Girls” along with other awareness initiatives including street skits on Gender Equality, Poster Making Competitions to promote Women’s Rights, and Essay Writing Competitions on social issues faced by modern women.
Objective:
The primary objective of the Women Development Cell is to promote gender equality, create awareness about women’s rights, empower female students and staff, and develop a safe, supportive, and respectful academic environment. The cell seeks to encourage confidence, self-reliance, and a sense of responsibility among women for their personal, academic, and social well-being.
