Attendance Committee

Introduction:
The Attendance Committee is established to ensure strict compliance with the university’s rules(accordance with Ordinance No. 6086 ) regarding student attendance. Attendance in lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions is compulsory, with a minimum requirement of 75% of total lectures and tutorials delivered in each term. The committee monitors attendance records and ensures that students satisfy the eligibility criteria for keeping terms and appearing in college and university examinations.
Objective:

• Ensure students comply with the minimum attendance requirement of 75% as mandated by Ordinance No. 6086.
• Maintain a disciplined academic environment promoting regular participation in lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions.
• Verify and certify the eligibility of students for appearing in examinations based on attendance, academic performance, and conduct.

Functions:

1. Monitor Attendance:
   Track and review student attendance regularly to ensure compliance with university regulations.
2. Granting Terms:
   Recommend granting terms only to students who meet attendance, performance, and conduct criteria. Students not meeting these conditions are not certified for examinations.
3. Counseling Students:
   Advise students who are at risk of falling below the required attendance and provide guidance to improve their participation.
4. Record Maintenance:
   Maintain accurate records of attendance, eligibility status, and disciplinary actions if necessary.

Promote Academic Discipline:
Encourage students to attend classes regularly, participate actively, and uphold good conduct in academic settings.
